FEDERAL

1. Support Homeowners Insurance Defense Act of 2009 to create an insurance safety net. (Cong. Ron         Klein

2. Support EARLY ACT concerned with detecting genetic markers for breast cancer in young women and
    Provide funding for support, e.g., genetic testing. (Cong. Debbie Wasserman Schultz)

3. Require Medicare to eliminate the fraud and abuse in the medical equipment industry, as well as Medicare and     Medicaid.

4. Support Breast Cancer Protection Act to eliminate “drive-by” mastectomies.

STATE

1.  The Florida Legislature must be subject to the Sunshine Laws.

2.  Discontinue putting loopholes in legislation.

3.  Continue advocating for Homeowners Insurance Defense Act of 2009.

4.  Require Board of Medicine to act quickly and effectively on problematic medical professionals.

5.  All persons testifying on legislation at all levels must be placed under oath.
      
6.  All lobbyists must reveal payments by clients. Everything lobbyists get, and everything they 
     give, whether contributions, gifts. etc., is added to the cost of doing business.
     Governments (taxpayers) pay more for everything the clients provide.

7.  Prohibit all elected officials (national, state or local) from lobbying, and continue ban until
     two years after they’ve left office.

8.   Retired administrators at all levels of government shall not be rehired unless the employer   
      can document that there are no other qualified persons for the position.

9.   All statewide elected officials must put stock holdings in blind trusts before taking office.

10. Audit and inventory social service agencies to determine actual administrative costs and
     actual services given to clients. Define “administration” and put limits on spending.
     The non-profit sector is the fourth largest employer in the state.

11. Government, at all levels, must contract with a consultant unaffiliated with any branch of said government
      or with any contractor doing business with said government,from outside the tri-city, county, or state area,
      in order to determine and implement the financial efficiency of departments, services, and staff.  These
      consultants must consider every avenue for cost savings, including consolidation, elimination, and
      outsourcing.
